Thanks to everyone at the WATER FOR ELEPHANTS discussion. Consensus was a good, fun, interesting book.... though not great literature. Some issues with structure & anachronisms, but circus setting was fresh.... discussion of why and how the framing story in the nursing home worked or didn't work, and even which story was more interesting & well done.
Diane Rehm did WATER FOR ELEPHANTS on her book review show on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. It was pretty interesting & presented some good ideas. I haven't finished the book yet, but surely am enthralled with it. Good choice.
